On mobile, swipe left/right through the enlarged timeline and tap any character line; use the boxed × to return to the visual. Characters are grouped into broad narrative houses/factions so related people sit together. A red × marks an on-screen death and the character’s line stops there rather than continuing flat to the finale. Jon Snow’s line breaks at his death and resumes after his resurrection. These are organizational groupings, not an episode-by-episode allegiance tracker. The chart uses episode-level word counts, while a second line-level script dataset adds a short dialogue preview, transcript line count, transcript word count, and the character’s most-used words for the selected episode. Each character is constrained to its own vertical lane so adjacent lines cannot cross. Line height uses one shared square-root word-count scale across characters; extreme values are capped at the 99th percentile for readability. Spoiler note: a character’s presence or disappearance across episodes can reveal story structure.
